Why Measurement Matters, Beyond the Marketing Multipliers
Claims like “10x more bioavailable” can be misleading without a clearly defined reference point. What is the comparison being made to, the raw extract, a previous formulation or something else entirely?
The science behind bioavailability starts in the blood. To truly understand how much of an ingredient is absorbed, we need to measure its concentration in blood plasma, which is usually expressed in ng/mL or pg/mL. This approach shows the measured bioavailability of the ingredient itself, not just how it performs relative to another version.
It is the most meaningful way to assess how much active ingredient reaches the blood stream and is available for biological activity.
